Leaving firefox ... sort of

I've been a very loyal supporter of the Firefox web browser in the past, but now...
I've tried the K-Meleon browser and I've decided to switch. However, I'm not completely leaving firefox. K-Meleon is based on firefox. It's basically an inproved version of Firefox.

Still, if you haven't tried an alternate browser, remember: you do have a choice.

Firefox didn't block that site

"I've had to uninstall firefox. It just wouldn't let me view these pages..."

This kind of thing REALLY annoys me. People try and view IE-only Web pages in Firefox and get some kind of error. They then think that it was Firefox that blocked the page and complain about pages being blocked by firefox.

Firefox does not block pages!

SiteAdvisor

Have you heard of a free tool called SiteAdvisor? It has a database of sites and if they are safe or not. A site that is fine is green, a site that is not OK has a red rating, a site that is in the middle is yellow and an unchecked site is grey. It's free, but you can buy SiteAdvisor Plus which adds more protection.
